Learning and Development Manager – 6 month contract

About the Role
Reporting into the GM Employee Excellence & Agility. As the Learning & Development (L&D) Manager, you are responsible for ensuring the delivery of internal training to Planit employees globally at all levels and across all areas of the Planit Services portfolio. The training will be in line with both business needs and in assisting employees with career path progression. You will liaise with key business stakeholders to understand current industry skills demands and manage the creation of relevant training materials and the delivery of training to employees. You are engaged, driven, collaborative and reliable, contributing to Planit’s global practices by leading in the development of training assets to meet pipeline business requirements
As part of this role, you are passionate about the growth of the Planit Graduate Programme and promoting Planit as a realistic and attractive employment option for University Graduates. You will set guidelines for the business units to follow regarding support, mentorship, and training of all graduate testers
This role can be based out of our Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane offices.
Responsibilities
- You will assist with the growth of Planit in 2 ways. Through the delivery of regular bootcamps (Graduate Programmes) aimed at the recruitment of “entry level” testers and by providing training that will develop skills and knowledge necessary for career progression.
- Your main activities will be scheduling and delivery of bootcamp selection weeks, creating an active pipeline of training material to support Planit’s skill needs.
- Develop learning solutions such as online courses, instructor-led curriculum, job aids and learning media.
- Assign and track learning material production among available team members, including the HUB.
- Upload, test, update and configure course packages for delivery in Planit’s learning management system, Planit Academy.
- Facilitates stakeholder input and reviews of learning solutions deliverables.
- Manage and administer program delivery in collaboration with internal employees especially Experience/People Leads.
- Developing, tracking & reporting on course evaluations to help improve and modify courses and support internal/external audits as needed.
- Manage and administer the employee learning journey including documenting and orchestrating all Learning and Development requirements: working with Practice Directors and People Experience & Strategy to collect development needs and develop, coordinate, and implement development programs & solutions.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Solid demonstrated experience in Learning and Development, or related field (working in a corporate environment) highly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Organisational Development, or related area is desirable.
- Experience or understanding in learning/program evaluation/analysis, training/facilitation, or coaching subject matter experts and training/guiding instructional designers.
- Experience working with Articulate Storyline, Rise
- Ability to build authentic connections with stakeholders
- Highly effective written and verbal communication skills
