Amazon is seeking a highly motivated and customer obsessed Learning Business Partner (LBP) with a history of high performance and creativity to support Operations Learning initiatives within the APAC region. The LBP organizes and supports various Operations Leadership Development programs to promote the learning and development of Amazon Operations leadership.
This position is responsible for collaborating with our operational stakeholders across the globe to coordinate and organize learning training events, programs and initiatives for our new and existing buildings. In addition to collaborating with members of our global Learning & Development team, the Learning Business Partner must build effective working relationships with our partners in WW Operations, PXT, WHS, and corporate leaders, various outside vendors and our learners to deliver on our customer promise.
We expect the Learning Business Partner to be a passionate customer and learner advocate, to communicate clearly and concisely in a way which motivates others to action, to have proven capabilities in managing projects as well as to demonstrate attention to detail and the ability to effectively manage, often competing, priorities. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a passion for customer experience, a high level of flexibility, commitment, and the ability to continuously improve the process of managing strategy, management and talent development activities across APAC operations.
Key job responsibilities
- Build strong partnerships with business leaders (e.g. Site Leaders, Operations Managers) to understand their learning needs and ensure targeted solution development. Dive in to quickly learn about learners' goals and challenges, their work environment, and learning styles.
- Leverage science and data driven approaches to design and deploy learning and performance solutions. Use rapid design and distribution methods (virtual, classroom, blended and multi-media) that best suit business needs and which tangibly and positively impact performance.
- Manage, interpret and analyze business data to report conclusions and make recommendations based on findings.
- Produce written reports to communicate and gain support for solutions, measurement and evaluation plans. Contribute to WBR, MBR/QBR and People related papers within the region.
- To identify and align individual leadership development plans, build a catalogue of learning content according to business needs and facilitate delivery and completion of training.
- Provide coaching and feedback on leadership related topics working with leaders to identify leadership, coaching and management skills development opportunities.
A day in the life
Every day brings new variety within this role. Over the course of a day you could be syncing in with our global program owners on understanding a new product that will be launching within your market. Partnering with your key customers to understand learning needs and align on the best way to launch and execute learning interventions. Tailoring programs or content to ensure that they meet regional requirements. Consistently reviewing the data across all programs to ensure that they are meeting customer expectations and growing the capability of our people.
About the team
The Global Operations Learning and Development team partners together to work backwards from our customer and design learning solutions focused on the on-boarding, proficiency and mastery stages of development. Geographically spread we are a team that brings diversity of thought and is always continuing to raise the bar for our customers.

Basic Qualifications
- Completed Bachelor's degree or 2 years Amazon experience.
- 2+ years of experience within a people related field would be beneficial but not essential.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex information, verbally and in writing, concisely and in a manner, which drives people to act.
- Demonstrated ability to influence others and execute in a customer-centric manner.
- Experience planning and coordinating training, large meetings or events.
- Experience with Outlook, MS Excel, Word and Learning Management Systems.
- Ability to handle multiple projects, often with conflicting deadlines.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills - must display patience, humour and helpfulness at all times. Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
- Strong Verbal and Writing communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in a relevant field such as business, education, organizational development, etc.
- Initiative to do whatever it takes to get things done and quickly resolve unanticipated problems.
- Detail oriented and excellent organizational skills.
- Confidence with the Microsoft suite, program management software and design tools.
- Experience in Program Management.
- Experience designing or developing learning solutions
- Work experience with career progression in the field of training and development.
- Learning facilitation experience
