Our Ultimo office is looking for a full time Legal and Administrative Assistant to assist our solicitors and our property division.
The vast majority of the work our office undertakes are for commercial, retail and residential properties owned by the directors of the firm. The role being offered is therefore primarily an in-house role.
The duties of the role will include assisting with:
- preparation of commercial, retail and residential leases and associated documentation
- preparation of various property related deeds, such as Deeds of Surrender of Lease, Assignment of Lease and Variation of Lease
- Obtaining mortgagee consent on transaction documents and registration on title of leases, lease transfers, variations of lease, surrenders of lease and the like via the online PEXA platform
- Assisting with various miscellaneous legal matters such as sales/purchases, development approval and environmental planning law matters
- Assisting in the preparation of other legal correspondence, documents and instruments
- general office and administration tasks primarily concerning property matters
The successful candidate must have some lease preparation and/or legal administration experience, together with knowledge of legal administration procedures and experience with Microsoft Office software. However, we are prepared to provide some training to a suitable applicant.
