How will you contribute to ensuring access to justice for all?
We are looking for an experienced Legal Assistant to join our Personal Injuries team based in our Browns Plains Office. This role will provide quality administrative and legal assistance to a Lawyer.
The successful candidate will be willing to grow and develop their skills in a busy role whilst using their strong client service skills to support our clients. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to answering and managing incoming calls, diary management, being in frequent contact with clients (both internal and external), file management, preparation of correspondence, court documents and briefs of evidence, and providing day-to-day administrative support.
The experience we are looking for
- Experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal in a plaintiff law firm or assistant in a professional services firm is desirable;
- Experience working within a Personal Injuries practice group is preferable;
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and interpersonal) with a diverse range of clients including non-English backgrounds;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Excellent organisational and time management skills;
- Ability to work in a high paced environment with competing demands
- Ability to work in a team; and
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite
