Legal Assistant

Senior Legal is a busy small law firm at Southport Queensland. We practice in Family Law, Domestic Violence, Criminal Law, Conveyancing, and Will and Estate matters. We are committed to delivering innovative and practical legal solutions to meet our client’s complex needs.
We are seeking an experienced Legal Assistant who is able to manage multiple disciplines but primarily within property, criminal and family law, however you will also assist in other areas of law where required.
The successful applicant will be able to work unsupervised, have strong organisational, interpersonal, and administrative skills. A high level of attention to detail is essential for the role.
Duties include but are not limited to:

• Preparing various legal documents.
• End to end filing management including opening and closing files.
• Liaising with external parties including government offices, real estate agents and other law firms.
• Excellent file management and precedent compilation.
• Registration of legal documents online via relevant portals.
• Other administrative tasks as required to support the immediate team.
• Conveyancing file management.

Required Skills and experience:

• Ability to prioritise and remain focused under pressure.
• Excellent organisation and document/file management skills.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• A strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Professional etiquette with clients.
• Proactive ownership of the role.
• Strong computer skills (Office 365).
• Experience managing conveyancing files, with minimal supervision.
• PEXA experience.
• Must not be a final year university student.
