Legal Counsel- Commercial lawyer

Our client is a large corporate business servicing work across a number of Queensland projects. This innovative Australian-owned company has offices in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney and a workforce of nearly 4000 employees. 

Your New Role

Reporting to the Head of Legal, this role will see you providing legal advice on commercial arrangements and major transactions, regulatory issues and the procurement and management of external legal advisers. 

You will be an integral part of ensuring the groups objectives are met when negotiating, advising on and drafting commercial agreements including business contracts, customer contracts, project concession agreements; as well as assist in providing advice on intellectual property, privacy and corporate compliance matters.

Your Skills Profile

• 4+ years post admission experience within a law firm environment;
• Experience in commercial, property, construction or major projects; 
• Strong technical skills, particularly with experience in drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts;
• An excellent team player but also able to work autonomously;
• Prepared to undertake a wide variety of work as required; and
• Highly developed communication skills.
