Since 1989, the LKA Group has been providing professional investigation, training and loss adjusting services to insurers, major corporations, businesses, government entities, and law firms. We are seeking a manager to oversee and support the claims investigations conducted by our team of investigators, in conjunction with our head office and our small team of Insurance Investigations staff. You will also get to know our interstate teams and build relationships with our insurer clients.
Here’s what the role looks like:
- You will build and maintain excellent relationships with our local team, our investigators and our clients.
- You will review new claims investigations as instructions are received and identify and instruct the investigator who is best placed to conduct them. You will work with the client and the investigator to plan the investigation, with the support of our dedicated administrators.
- You will stay in touch with your investigators during each claim, keeping your clients regularly updated on progress. You’ll be responsible for managing deadlines, providing strategy advice to investigators, reviewing their work, and generally making sure the investigation complies with the insurer’s requirements.
- You will be fully trained to complete quality review of pending claims, investigation reports and statements, and any other claim types that interest you. You will review and approve invoices generated by our administrators, keeping our financial goals in mind.
- You’ll stay on top of changes in relevant practice and legislation.
- You’ll have the support of our Investigations Manager and the Common Law team, but you’ll need to manage your own time and tasks and seek support from our administrators as needed.
- You will participate in Insurance Investigations team meetings, learn our case management systems and process, and recruit and train new investigators.
- We also encourage you to arrange or attend team building events, investigator training, and industry functions, and we are always keen to hear your ideas for quality improvement and innovation.
- You will required to be licenced and carry a manageable caseload.
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Knowledgeable and Experienced in Tasmanian workers’ compensation and CTP legislation and claims;
- A person of integrity, committed to quality service and best practice;
- A demonstrated leader with strong team building skills;
- Highly organised and a strong multi-tasker;
- Exceptional at communicating verbally and in writing with all kinds of people (and you enjoy it too!). You are able to have difficult conversations which are respectful, confidential and improvement-focussed and write well;
- Holding a Tasmanian investigation licence or is willing to obtain one
- Be willing to assist in a range of investigation matters
