This focus on client value is a key reason for our success.The role:We are currently looking for a Legal Secretary to join our Melbourne Property Team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate would join a medium-sized team and have a wide variety of work, with a degree of autonomy relative to experience level.The team acts for a range of developers, landlord, tenants and property investors, including ASX listed companies, fund managers, national tenants and privately owned investment groups.Duties will include matter and file management, undertaking title and other searches, preparing documents and correspondence, collating and issuing documents for execution (including electronic execution), client reporting, matter billing and invoicing, organising client and team meetings and events, and working closely with practitioners to provide the administrative support required to ensure that transactions are completed successfully and in a timely manner. We assist clients with a mixture of commercial and residential property sales and acquisitions, mortgagee sales, commercial and residential development projects, leasing and other property matters.Requirements:To be successful in this role you will need:
- excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- to be a dedicated team player, but also capable of working autonomously;
- to be highly driven in the area of client service;
- high attention to detail;
- the ability to prioritise tasks and to respond to queries promptly;
- a proven history of meeting deadlines;
- advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and Word;
- experience using InfoTrack or similar search platforms; and
- experience using DocuSign or similar electronic signing platforms.
