About the Job
This position is in our estate administration division, where you will work closely with a very experienced and highly regarded senior estate lawyer. You will be assisted by a junior secretary and an admin team that take care of file openings/archiving, safe custody and reception duties.
Your job includes helping clients administer the estate of a loved one, including property transfers, grants of probate, liaising with banks and other institutions to call in assets and pay debts, and providing accounts to beneficiaries. You will receive proper supervision and mentoring, so you can learn and progress.
The role suits a person who is pro-active, caring and likes accomplishing tasks.
This is a full time position but applicants who wish to work 4 days a week and have the right skill set should apply.

We practice in estate law, in the areas of estate planning and estate administration (but not litigation), and our legal team is one of the most experienced teams in this area in Queensland, with 3 QLS Succession law accredited specialists. Qualities we are looking for
The firm is a specialised legal practice and sets a 'high bar' and is busy, so you must have the following qualities and be able to demonstrate them from previous roles:
- at least 2 to 3 years legal secretarial/paralegal experience (proven skills in the area of Wills and Estates or property is favourable but not essential)
- strong administrative and organisational skills
- a very good eye for detail
- proven ability to work as part of a team
- a proactive approach to your work
- intermediate/advanced MS Office skills
- a good bedside manner, and strong communication skills including written, oral and interpersonal
- a pride in your work and your presentation
