The Australian Sports Commission (ASC) is the Australian Government agency responsible for supporting and investing in sport at all levels. About the team – The Clearinghouse for Sport team ensures the entire Australian sport sector maintains equitable access to high quality information and evidence-based resources. We lead the Australia Sports Commission’s national knowledge sharing and research coordination initiatives and develop insights of strategic importance to governments and sport, including managing the Evidence Base for Sport.
About the role – As a member of the Clearinghouse team, you will be responsible for providing high quality sport information and research services, including managing and developing the physical and digital collections and platforms (e.g., the library management system, online catalogue, subscription databases, digital asset and web content management).
About you – We are looking for a motivated individual with strong attention to detail who can provide expert guidance and facilitate access to information resources in support of research activities. The successful candidate will have:
- Tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in library and information management, knowledge management, research services.
- Strong knowledge of library principles, practices, and procedures, including demonstrated expertise in cataloguing, metadata, and classification systems.
- Demonstrated capacity to provide timely, compelling, and concise advice to inform executive members and senior management to support decision making.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience delivering cultural change, with an emphasis on promoting information and knowledge sharing, through influencing and using innovative techniques.

- To be eligible for employment with the Australian Sports Commission, it is preferred that applicants are Australian citizens or permanent residents of Australia.
