**Position Overview:**
As the Livebird Operations Manager at JS Transport Group, you will hold a pivotal role in overseeing the coordination and execution of livebird transport and catching operations across our national divisions. This integral position involves ensuring strict compliance with safety, hygiene, and animal welfare standards, while fostering positive relationships with stakeholders and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Supervise and coordinate State Livebird Transport & Catching Managers to ensure seamless day-to-day operations.
- Ensure unwavering compliance with company procedures, bio-security requirements, and pertinent regulations.
- Efficiently manage contracts, procurement, and program delivery to optimize operational efficiency.
- Monitor performance metrics, pinpoint areas for enhancement, and implement necessary corrective actions.
- Foster positive relationships with customers, service providers, and subcontractors.
- Lead comprehensive staff training initiatives to ensure strict adherence to industry best practices.
- Uphold company values and policies, actively promoting a culture of safety and respect in the workplace.
**Qualifications and Experience:**
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the transportation or related industry.
- Proven leadership skills, with a demonstrable track record of effectively managing teams and achieving tangible results.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a proven capacity to engage stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Thorough knowledge of safety, hygiene, and animal welfare regulations.
- Proficiency in contract management, procurement, and strategic planning.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
- Current and valid car driver’s license necessary (MC desirable).
