This brand is known to everyone worldwide and are always at the forefront of setting trends. Currently based on the Northern Beaches but relocating close to the CBD in April.
About the role:
The Logistics Manager is responsible for the day to day running of the distribution channels and forms part of the Supply Chain team. Reporting to the Director, you will be across most areas of the department from managing and developing a team, working with external suppliers and negotiating deals, using data to make business decisions including efficient and effective strategies to work smarter and not harder. Communication skills are vital as this leadership role has a team reporting in and you will be required to liaise with other departments and colleagues at all levels of the business.
Ideally the successful person will come with proven experience in a similar position, have an understanding of relevant tools (Microsoft, Power BI, SAP etc), the ability to remain flexible and agile in a busy, ever changing environment.
The role offers hybrid work with 3x days in the office and 2x WFH with the requirement to travel to the Western Suburbs 1 day per fortnight. This is a MAT leave position for 12-14 months with a high likelihood of becoming permanent role.
Requirements:
- Support with strategy execution for logistics and warehousing for Pacific (ANZ)
- Work and communicate with other departments in a clear, professional and timely manner to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for stores
- Lead and develop the Warehouse team on accuracy, speed, safety, quality assurance and align all processes for the Distribution Channels
- Manage and maintain budgeting and Capex in conjunction with the Director
- Monitor forecasts for all DC working with teams in Supply, Merch, e-Comm and others as and when needed
- Conduct meetings with suppliers and providers to identify issues, improvements and resolve to ensure high level service experience
- Conduct root-cause analysis of hick-ups and take action to resolve
- Lead and deliver profit, KPI's, safety, resource optimisation in order to maximise customer satisfaction
Experience required:
- Exp in logistics and warehousing, ideally with tertiary qualifications in Business or Supply Chain
- A safety first mindset
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to perform under pressure in peak trade times
- Able to work both independently and as part of a large team
- Analytical skills and the ability to interpret data and make recommendations using the information
- Understand end to end logistics and freight including road, rail, air, sea and customs
