Job DescriptionAs Logistics Planner you are responsible for daily execution of safe and efficient planning of all designated fleet resources in your respective scope. This is a Part Time position with a flexibleworking arrangement. You will be a key part of a team in a dynamic part of the business trained to work collaboratively with multiple positions and critical functions across our Logistics Team, primarily our Delivery Coordinators, Analyst, Scheduling Support and Logistics Operations and Contract Leads.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute accurate, efficient, safe and timely schedules for the respective scope.
- Ensure all relevant data such as dips entering, dip validation, densities, tank status, terminal outages etc. are captured accurately.
- Develop a sound understanding of sales pattern and demand performance for respective scope.
- Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external parties through the timely and accurate resolution of all queries.
- Responsible for the efficient use of available fleet resources and focused on the balancing of customer service versus cost.
- Strive for continuous improvement. I.e. fleet profile improvements, influence customer ordering behaviour and reviewing outcome analysis.
- Work closely with a number of key stakeholder such as Carrier’s, Logistics Contract and Commercial and Sales Teams
- Effectively manage Retail Site Works – managing drawdowns, project works and product changeovers with the support of Order to Delivery analyst.
- Champion HSSE in all aspects of the scheduling role
- Experience in Customer Service, Hospitality, Logistics or Analytics.
- Good communication skills for internal and external audiences.
- Relevant Logistics / Supply Chain experience preferred but not essential.
- Sound knowledge of Road Transport Logistics (Dangerous Goods, Chain of Responsibility & Fatigue Laws), preferred but not essential.
- Experienced in the use of Microsoft suite.
- Tertiary qualifications preferred, but not essential.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Good communication skills – both written and verbal.
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet daily deadlines.
- Awareness of possible cost factors in distribution and the overall supply chain is desirable.
