Maintenance Fitter

We are seeking skilled fitters with a salary range of $40-$45 per hour plus super, overtime, and penalty rates. The role entails a learning curve, ideally suited for an eager and innovative fitter and turner. Responsibilities include in-house maintenance handling, utilization of MEX electronic systems, and adherence to safety, quality, and compliance standards.

Description
Join a dynamic maintenance team and contribute to the success of our client's manufacturing operation under the guidance of the Maintenance Supervisor. As a member of the multidisciplinary team, you'll undertake various tasks aimed at supporting and enhancing processes. Key responsibilities include:

• Responding to equipment breakdowns, troubleshooting issues, and conducting repairs and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Ensuring mechanical plant machinery and equipment are maintained and repaired to operational standards.
• Identifying faulty or worn mechanical components and assisting in root cause analysis.
• Demonstrating autonomy and efficiency in your work, even without direct supervision.
• Complete maintenance documentation accurately, neatly and efficiently
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the preventative maintenance program.

Profile
To be considered for this role you will have

• Certificate III in Engineering (or equivalent) - Mechanical Trade.
• Proven track record in implementing preventative maintenance programs.
• Experience in fault finding on hydraulic, pneumatic, and complex mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with MEX CMMS software is advantageous.
• Commitment to Workplace Health & Safety.
• Strong communication skills.
• Welding qualification/experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Desirable qualifications include an EWP ticket and Forklift license.

Due to the background checks required for this role, candidates must hold full working rights, can pass a national police check and full pre-employment medical, be able to provide proof of COVID vaccination (2 doses), and be able to provide two professional references.
