Job description:

We are now seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join our corporate team in South Bank. Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Working with site Project Managers to provide full commercial support for up to two mining sites
• Gaining full understanding of the contracts associated with your allocated mine sites
• Budgeting and forecasting for each of the allocated sites
• Completion of month end accounting entries to produce a profit and loss result
• Assisting your allocated sites to prepare daily, weekly and monthly reporting
• Balance sheet account reconciliations

Whilst this role is based in the Brisbane corporate office 5 days per week, some travel to sites will be necessary in order to provide commercial support.

Profile description:

About You:

• University qualified accountant and/or working towards CA/CPA
• 5+ years' experience in either a chartered accounting firm or a sizeable business
• Proven ability to analyse results
• A strong work ethic and a willingness to assist other members of the team as required
• Exposure to either contracting or the resources industry is desirable but not essential
