The team
Our Business Services team has the combined skills and expertise to provide ongoing support in the financial management business and to help put strategies in place to achieve success. We provide assistance and support to help our clients through every stage of the business lifecycle, from starting their business, improving performance and obtaining the best outcome for every business transaction including valuations, due diligence and deal advice.
The role
As a Manager within the Business Services team, your role is to provide strong leadership, mentorship, and guidance to drive team performance and career growth. You'll oversee client relationships, delivering exceptional service, and providing strategic advice to our clients. Through continuous learning and innovation, you'll foster a culture of growth, optimising processes and embracing emerging technologies to enhance service delivery and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Managers at AFS lead by example, guiding team members with constructive feedback and effective delegation. They excel in mentoring, fostering a nurturing environment, they empower team members for professional and leadership growth.
About you
The successful applicant will have:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.
• Completed a professional certification such as Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent.
• Extensive experience in public practice accounting, with a focus on Business Services and client management.
• Proven ability to identify and facilitate learning and development opportunities for the team.
• Demonstrated expertise in providing feedback, coaching, and on-the-job training to team members.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and taxation regulations.
• Proven experience in leading and managing a team of accounting professionals.
• Proficiency in using accounting software and financial management systems.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, team members, and senior management.
• Established track record of cultivating and sustaining robust relationships with client management, promoting trust and facilitating open communication.
• Demonstrated business acumen and ability to drive business growth.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities, including the ability to motivate, inspire, and develop a high-performing team.
