Fitzroy Valley District High School (DHS) is seeking an organised Manager Corporate Services (MCS) to join their friendly team.About the RoleAs MCS you will ideally have well-developed oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, and the ability to use effective negotiation skills. You should also have an ability to provide input into the development, implementation, and monitoring of business and marketing plans. Applicants with sound conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills will be well regarded.The successful applicant will ideally have sound financial management skills, including budget preparation, and the ability to interpret and apply financial and accounting practices and procedures. You should also have sound human resource management skills, including the ability to develop and/or apply human resource management practices and systems. Applicants with leadership skills in the delivery of business outcomes, and sound customer service principles and practices are encouraged to apply.A thorough knowledge of the School Resourcing System, RM Finance, the Education Department Human Resource Management Information System (HRMIS), Staff Performance Management and high-level financial management skills with solid analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills is highly regarded.Our SchoolFitzroy Valley DHS enrols students from Kindergarten to Year 12 with students coming from many communities in and around Fitzroy Crossing. Our school has predominantly Aboriginal students enrolled and has a strong focus on developing literacy and numeracy skills. Trauma-informed practices are embedded into our school, and we work in partnership with other agencies to raise awareness and understanding around best practice for supporting students and families.Fitzroy Valley DHS is a Department of Education, Remote Teaching School and the successful applicant will gain all the incentives aimed at attracting quality candidates to work in a remote community school.Snapshot of our school – The real Fitzroy Crossing DHSThe Location and CommunityThe town of Fitzroy Crossing is situated on the northern bank of the Fitzroy River, approximately 2700 km from Perth and 400 km east of Broome. The town has a population of approximately 1500 people. The main cultural groups in the Fitzroy Valley are the Bunuba, Gooniyandi, Walmajarri, Nyikina and Wangkatjungka peoples.The Fitzroy Valley community is vibrant, innovative, and culturally strong. It has a long history of indigenous achievement, enterprise and locally designed and implemented programs.   • complete the Department’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural awareness online course within 3 months of commencement;
  • complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
