How will I help?

The Finance Transformation Strategy (FTS) team is responsible for driving the development, prioritisation, and delivery of the broader finance strategy. The Manager (FTS) – Culture & Capability will act as a Finance strategy champion to support the business in its transformation within the culture and capability stream of the Finance function.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:
Assisting to formulate, communicate, implement and embed the desired culture and connections across the finance group in line with the strategy
Leading the development and delivery of the communication plan in collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure key transformation successes
Leading the development of key artefacts to support this process, including but not limited to survey construction, feedback forms, prioritisation matrices
Continuously refining and tailoring communications to maximise engagement and effectiveness
Supporting gathering and prioritisation of feedback and insights from key internal and external stakeholders
Supporting development and delivery of diversity and inclusion initiatives for Finance

What’s in it for me?

You’ll play an important and significant part in the future of a business that has been around for over 200 years. Our purpose is helping Australians to succeed. So, we’ll back you in the development of your career, with internal career prospects and flexible working. You’ll also be backed by a collegiate team of people in a can-do, supportive structure.

Whatever shape your family takes, we offer generous paid and unpaid parental leave for your nominated primary and support carers. This includes leave to organise adoptions, surrogacy, and foster care arrangements. And we continue to pay your super contributions while you take all the time you need to get your new family settled.

What do I need?

You will have banking or financial services experience and ideally chartered or CPA qualifications. This role would suit candidates with experience in consulting. You will be confident communicating and delivering through ambiguity and change and have strong stakeholder engagement, management, collaboration and partnering experience. Exposure to strategy and policy formation and implementation is highly desirable in particular in relation to capability and culture initiatives.

This role will see you combine your strong technical skills with sound commercial acumen to exercise superior problem solving. An understanding of BI applications, data warehousing and web-based reporting is desirable as well as some experience of project management in agile environments.

What is it like to work there?

As well as a great culture, joining the Westpac family means you’ll get some of the best banking, wealth and insurance benefits in the market. We back our employees by coaching and facilitating training and providing career planning tools for you to grow with us. As an equal opportunity employer, we’re proud to have created a culture and work environment that values diversity and flexibility – and champions inclusion.

How do I Apply?

As part of our commitment to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace, this role is open to experienced candidates seeking a discussion around workplace flexibility. We invite candidates of all ages, people with a disability and Indigenous Australians to apply.
