The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a dynamic Health and Safety Manager to lead and elevate our Group Health and Safety Management System (HSMS).
Drive continuous development, ensuring robust compliance with legislative and industry standards. Responsibilities include implementing safety tools, offering guidance on the H&S systems blueprint, and fostering collaboration across departments.
Conduct inspections and audits, spearhead continuous improvement initiatives for safety programs, and champion employee well-being while mitigating workplace risks. Join us in shaping a safer and healthier work environment.
Key responsibilities:
Identify, take action, and approve ongoing developments and improvements to the Group Health and Safety Management System.
Monitor compliance against legislative, accreditation, and industry requirements.
Support Projects in understanding the HSMS requirements.
Provide support for the development and rollout of safety system tools on Projects.
Advise and support implementation of the Group H&S systems blueprint.
Support the design and development of safety initiatives/programs for the ACCIONA Group.
Support the identification of Group incident trends and assist in developing programs to improve overall performance.
Support and monitor the reporting of notifiable incidents to accreditation bodies.
Required Skills and Competencies
Proven experience in similar role ideally gained from the construction sector however not essential.
Professional certification in Health and Safety (e.g., Certified Safety Professional - CSP) is highly desirable.
In-depth knowledge of local and national Health and Safety regulations.
Diploma or above in a relevant field such as occupational Health and Safety, environmental science, industrial hygiene, or a related discipline.
