The Opportunity
Civmec have a unique opportunity for an experienced HR / IR Manager to join our team at our Henderson based corporate office. Reporting directly to the Group Manager HR/IR, you will be a vital part of our organisation and take a hands-on approach, managing day-to-day operations and offering support to our business units to meet their needs.
Key Accountabilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations with a strong operational focus.
- Support Managers through advice, procedures, and training within the business to ensure they understand their HR and IR obligations.
- Ensuring strict adherence to established systems and processes within the group frameworks.
- Contribute to the development, review and implementation of HR/IR procedures and systems to ensure consistency within Group requirement and monitor adherence and compliance to legislation.
- Provide leadership and mentoring to current HR/ IR advisor team.
- Oversee the recruitment function within your allocated business units and ensure appropriate recruitment strategies are in place that align with the operational requirements.
- Travel to site on ad-hoc basis and as required to engage with our people.
About You
- 7 years of experience in a Senior Human Resources role.
- Prior experience in a contractor environment within a similar industry.
- Passion for HR and a commitment and drive to making a positive impact within operations.
- Demonstrated proficiency in critical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving, particularly in handling complex and sensitive issues.
- Thorough knowledge of Industrial Relations and the Fair Work Act.
