Manager Human Resources

Glenorchy City Council has an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified Manager Human Resources to join the team. You will be responsible for the Workforce Development Plan and HR Strategy, lead the HR core functions within Council including the HR Team, Industrial Relations, Learning & Development, Glenorchy Jobs Hub, organisational behaviour, and design. It also has responsibility for organisational culture and values.

The successful applicant will have: Minimum 5 years’ experience managing a significant Human Resources Role including relevant industrial relations and enterprise bargaining experience. Highly developed written and verbal communication and facilitation skills. Experience in developing, updating, and implementing a Human Resources Strategy / Workforce Development Plan.

Demonstrated track record in values-based leadership of teams. Strong knowledge in Injury Management and Workers Compensation processes. Experience with implementing contemporary performance appraisal systems.

Qualifications required: Tertiary qualifications relevant to the role and a Working With Vulnerable Persons card.
