Austin Health is the major provider of tertiary health services, health professional education and research across three campuses in the north-east of Melbourne and state-wide. We have a highly engaged, diverse and collaborative workforce that is unified by our purpose, which is to help people live healthy and fulfilled lives.
About the Community Recovery Program (CRP) and Prevention And Recovery Centre (PARC)
CRP is a 22-bed mental health community residential service for consumers age 18-64 years. CRP is a collaboration between Austin Health, Mind Australia and Forensicare Services. Eligible consumers are supported to reach their recovery goals and maintain optimal mental health wellbeing through a carefully designed tenancy and recovery-based group program.
PARC is a 10-bed residential facility and provides short term (up to 28 days) recovery focused mental health treatment for those aged 16 – 64 years living in the City of Banyule and the Shire of Nillumbik. PARC is managed in partnership with Mind Australia and is a voluntary program that provides interventions to consumers who:
- Require a Step-Up service: short term intensive support to prevent deterioration in their mental health and possibly avoid a hospital admission.
- Require a Step-Down service: no longer need to be in a psychiatric hospital but would benefit from short term intensive support before returning to their home.
The Clinical Manager provides clinical and operational leadership to CRP and PARC in collaboration with our MIND Manager (services are provided by Austin Health in partnership with MIND Australia).
