THE ROLE
Manager - WOVG Reform and National Policy
Reporting to the Director, Reform and Impact, the Manager, WOVG Reform and National Policy will lead Family Safety Victoria's intergovernmental relations with the Commonwealth and reform oversight, governance, monitoring and reporting functions. This work includes, but is not limited to managing:
the Victorian Government's 10-year plan to end family violence and its Rolling Action Plans
- key family violence governance groups across the Victorian Government
- intergovernmental relations with the Commonwealth and other states and territories
- Implementation of and reporting against National Partnership Agreements and actions under the National Plan to End Violence Against Women and Children.
The Manager will contribute to the strategic leadership of Family Safety Victoria, and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
- Strategically design and develop the delivery of departmental objectives that impact significant localised service delivery and meet statewide departmental and government objectives and community expectations.
- Maintain an understanding of issues impacting the department's clients and investigate and lead critical projects that develop and review policies, professional standards and operating practices that enhance service delivery, budget effectiveness, efficiency and improved client outcomes.
- Forge strong connections across the department and with external stakeholders to facilitate a partnership approach.
