ABOUT FUTURE ANYTHING
Future Anything transforms young people’s passion and creativity into innovative ideas that make their world a better place.
Our mission is to create enterprising students, empowered educators, and future-ready schools.
What do we mean by ‘enterprising’?
Enterprising (adj):
marked by an independent energetic spirit and by readiness to act
We do this through:
- In-curriculum Entrepreneurship: Activate is our flagship program that builds enterprising mindsets in every classroom, empowering young people to ideate, prototype and pitch innovative, scalable and sustainable solutions to the problems they care about. In 2023, there were 5600+ students and 220+ teachers in 65+ Activate schools nationwide.
- Teacher Professional Learning: We design and deliver engaging educator PD; unpacking the ‘what’ and, more importantly, the ‘how’ innovative and future-focused teaching and learning. In 2023, our PD reached over 2000 teachers.
- Student Workshops: Over one, two or five days, our workshops are fast paced days of listening, learning, and doing that ignite students’ enterprising mindsets. In 2023, we delivered workshops to over 7500 young people in primary and high schools across Australia.
- Partnerships: We partner with innovation bodies, education organisations, governments and others to spark innovative projects that drive entrepreneurial change in schools, communities and regions.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Marketing & Communications Coordinator’s role is to execute a range of marketing and communications activities that enhance Future Anything’s brand visibility, engage and inspire our target audiences, and generate new leads. The role involves implementing activities including social media, e-newsletter/eDM creation, website content creation & SEO, brand management, and (potentially) media/PR initiatives. It also involves evaluating the outcomes of such activities and proactively seeking new opportunities for evolution and improvement.
- Social Media Management: You’ll develop and execute social media strategies across multiple platforms to enhance brand presence by creating engaging content, scheduling posts, and monitoring social media analytics.
- E-Newsletter Creation: You’ll lead the evolution and delivery of Bending the Future (our regular e-newsletter currently distributed to over 6000 contacts) and suite of project-specific eDMs. By coordinating with colleagues across the organisation and via external research, you’ll create compelling content that resonates with our audience and drives action.
- Website Management: You’ll oversee www.futureanything.com, ensuring the website is up-to-date, visually appealing, and is fully aligned with brand guidelines. You will optimise website content for SEO to improve search rankings and maximise organic traffic.
- Brand Management: You’ll be the guardian of the Future Anything brand, enhancing brand identity by maintaining consistency across all communication channels. You’ll review and enforce brand guidelines, ensuring all marketing materials adhere to established standards.
- Media and PR (Depending on experience): You’ll develop and maintain relationships with relevant media outlets and key influencers, creating and distributing press releases, manage media inquiries, and coordinate interviews.
- Organisational Contribution: While your focus is on Marketing & Communications, you’ll also be a critical part of the Future Anything team, working alongside the CEO/Founder and colleagues to develop the broader strategic direction of the organisation. You’ll contribute to other Future Anything activities that support the smooth running and ongoing growth of the business, and that align with your own professional interests/aspirations.
ABOUT YOU
With a minimum of 2 years’ marketing experience, you’re a passionate marketeer and compelling communicator. You have a proven track record of executing impactful marketing campaigns that have enhanced brand awareness and delivered measurable business outcomes.
You’re agile and adaptive and love having a rich and diverse portfolio of work and use systematic tools and approaches to stay across (and ahead) of tasks. You are energised by the thought of each workday being different and thrive in a fast-paced environment where you can take the initiative.
You’re curious and creative. You love to challenge the status quo with different and well-considered solutions.
