Reporting to the Marketing & Communications Manager ANZ, we are looking for an enthusiastic and eager Marketing Coordinator to support the sales and marketing teams in the execution of strategic marketing initiatives, campaigns and projects. Working collaboratively with field sales, business development, product marketing and customer service teams, across multiple B2B channels in a fast paced environment, your creativity and attention to detail will be central to the successful promotion of SMC, it’s products, technologies and services.
The role:
- Completes planning, execution and continuous improvement of event marketing including SMC’s presence at trade exhibitions, roadshows, customer events and other entertainment/networking events.
- Assists the Marketing team in the development of marketing promotional materials and coordinates the communications activities which support event marketing, including promotional items/giveaways, brochures/sales collateral, email and marketing automation programs, press advertising, public relations and social media.
- As directed by the Marketing & Communications Manager, coordinates the company’s marketing material for distribution to Sales and Indirect Channels.
- Owns the relationship and acts as the central point of contact between SMC and key industry associations and sponsorship relationships and leverages our involvement.
- Conducts research of the market including competitor’s activities, new products, new markets etc.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills with the capacity to perceive, design and deploy creative solutions.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite essential
- Experience using marketing software/tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Google Analytics, CRM systems) will be highly regarded, along with graphic design or video editing software.
- Liaises with Sales Leadership to ensure marketing activities are integrated with other parts of the business and overall sales strategy.
- Analyses product, market and channel sales and identifies opportunities for growth.
- Provides marketing feedback to the Corporation from a local user level to assist with product development and design.
- Liaises with external vendors and agencies to ensure that their work meets the organisation’s requirements, deadlines and budget.
- Manages the promotional sample and product sample program to support the launching of new products and product promotion for the Sales Team.
- Management of merchandise and apparel supplier along with sourcing and managing new items and ongoing stock requirements.
About you:
- Formal qualification (or working towards completion of qualifications) in Marketing or an aligned field.
- Experience in a B2B environment or working with a third-party distribution network.
- Must be an excellent communicator with a great “can do” attitude.
- Ability to build valued, meaningful relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask, prioritise and execute under pressure.
- High attention to detail and ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
