About Us
Harness Racing Victoria (HRV), a statutory body, is responsible for the control, development and promotion of the Victorian harness racing industry.
With strong links to rural and regional communities, we are committed to developing a vibrant and sustainable industry that promotes participation, integrity and racing excellence.
Our commercial arm, thetrots.com.au, showcases highlights from the harness racing calendar and is supported by our broadcast channel TrotsVision, which encompasses both live streaming of race days and On Demand offerings.
We value all our customers, from our participants - which include trainers, drivers, breeders and owners - to our regional clubs, industry stakeholders and fans of the sport. We work closely with the other Victorian racing codes to support the ethical treatment of our animals, as well as ethical wagering.
The Opportunity
Working in a true partnership style and reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, you will help drive growth and promotion of the Harness Racing and MEP in line with the strategic plan and core business values. The Events and Marketing Manager will be required to manage and attend all events and is the key point of contact throughout the events calendar
Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Develop and execute the Summer of Racing event experience strategy to engage the harness racing community and broader audiences.
- Manage the full event lifecycle from strategy and promotion to onsite execution and post-event analysis.
- Lead the annual marketing strategy and brand plans, overseeing campaigns across digital and traditional media to meet commercial objectives.
- Oversee partnerships with media and digital agencies to ensure effective campaign implementation and optimization.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure campaign effectiveness and return on investment, maintaining financial accountability.
