As a Marketing Executive at Iconic Hotels by Geocon, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and promoting our portfolio of tourism and hospitality brands. You will be responsible for creating and executing comprehensive marketing strategies across both traditional and digital channels to enhance our brand presence, engage our target audience, and drive business growth.
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will primarily work closely with the Marketing Coordinator to ensure smooth-running of day-to-day marketing efforts. Your role will include leading and assisting in content creation, producing and implementing individual brand promotions and activations through paid, earned and owned channels across traditional and digital media, and liaison with hotel and food and beverage outlet management teams.
This multifaceted role requires a blend of creativity, digital proficiency, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills. Project multi-tasking, the ability to problem-solve and strong communication skills are key requirements of the role. A keen eye for detail, an eagerness to learn and the ability to liaise confidently and professionally with internal and external stakeholders is also expected.
Day to day duties will include, but not limited to:
- Design, develop, implement, and optimise social media content across a suite of individual tourism and hospitality brands.
- Utilise online scheduling tools to create monthly social media schedules.
- Monitor social media channels for industry trends and platform updates.
- Maintain community engagement by responding to messages and queries.
- Liaise and manage social media influencers/key opinion leaders in exchange for social media content.
- Design, deliver and analyse monthly digital brand campaigns across social media, email marketing, Meta Suite, and Google Advertising network.
- Draft, distribute and liaise with digital and traditional publications for paid and earned advertising opportunities through media pitches and press releases.
- Create and implement paid and earned packages, promotions, and activations specific to each brand.
- Lead and assist with concepting, designing and executing content – photoshoots, website builds, maintenance projects, and broadcast (TVC and Radio/Spotify campaigns).
- Create and edit brand collateral – menus, flyers, business cards, newspaper and magazine advertisements, and ensure all brands’ visual assets are relevant and up to date.
- Liase confidently and professionally with key internal and external stakeholders as required.
- Confidently utilise Abode Creative Cloud Suite, Meta Suite, Google Advertising Network, WordPress, Marriott system and WIX.
- Contribute to comprehensive campaign analysis and reporting, providing valuable insights and recommendations for future strategies.
- Engage in various additional tasks and responsibilities as required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to meet evolving project needs and organisational objectives.
Skills Required
- Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications, and/or design highly preferred, demonstrating a strong foundation in the field.
- A minimum of 2 years of marketing experience.
- Proven ability to thrive both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, high-pressure environment, showcasing adaptability and resilience.
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools and social media platforms is advantageous, with a demonstrated capacity to leverage these technologies effectively.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, enabling clear and compelling messaging across various channels.
- Genuine passion for marketing, coupled with a strong commitment to continuous learning and professional development within the industry.
- Proficiency in basic design principles and graphic design tools, facilitating the creation of visually captivating marketing materials and assets.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite and/or Google Workspace, coupled with a proactive approach to embracing new technologies and a keen aptitude for learning innovative systems.
- Demonstrated capacity to rapidly acquire new skills and effectively manage multiple projects concurrently, showcasing adaptability and resourcefulness.
- Proven track record of effective time management and task prioritisation, ensuring efficient workflow and timely project delivery.
