As a key senior member of the ANZ Marketing team you will create and lead brand and customer propositions across the family of Nisbets brands. Reporting to the Managing Director ANZ, you will be a member of the leadership team and will find your days filled with defining our customer propositions and growing our categories and brands.
With responsibility for the direct mail strategy across ANZ; defining customer groups, analysis of insights and refining the strategy to drive key revenue outcomes.
You will play a vital role in ensuring the success of the marketing strategy for Australia & New Zealand. You will be accountable for executing with excellence and will be a tactical marketing expert. You will take direct responsibility for project deliverables, including successful campaign execution and offline marketing collateral, to ensure they are on schedule and on budget.
THE ROLE
The key focus areas of the role include:
- Develop, deliver and monitor marketing strategies, campaigns and promotions across all areas of the business in Australia & New Zealand to support business objectives.
- Co-ordinate cross-functional groups and leverage stakeholders to gain insights, campaign development and activation throughout all Nisbets channels – Mail, Web, Retail, Phone & Wholesale.
- Innovate customer communications, bring new ideas to the table and build successful Omni-channel campaigns against company strategy and objectives
- Drive GM throughout all categories and sales channels
- Co-manage and co-own full marketing P&L, with 4 direct reports.
- Work cross functionally to review and utilise analytics that exist within the business, identifying new commercial, promotional and communication opportunities to ensure that Nisbets remain market leaders
- Build promotion campaign proposals, design and deliver approved campaigns with the required internal teams and stakeholders
- Planning and Communications – co-ordinate and attend specific trading and planning meetings, work x-functionally with relevant teams – Direct Channels, Buying, Forecasting and Pricing
- Communication development – work with marketing teams to develop communication ideas, brief in creative requirements to studio and responsible for approvals and sign off with stakeholders
- Managing all aspects of our annual exhibitions and events calendar
- Overlay key marketing activity & spend with consumption data to measure, analyse and report on the effectiveness of our campaigns
- Identify and pull out key findings, evaluating the results and format the analysis into reports that can be understood and utilised by others within the business.
- Manipulate data on own initiative and in response to specific briefs from the marketing & commercial teams
- Recognise and analyse key drivers & trends in the market
- Create category recommendations and analysis from market data as well as internal data
- Work closely with Finance to calculate ROI for key marketing activities to influence future marketing choices
- Alongside the Marketing and Digital teams, help define the KPIs for each campaign
- Create, present, deliver and monitor innovative marketing campaigns to respond to internal, industry and market needs
- Monitor business growth and performance across KPIs on a daily/weekly basis and provide reports for the business
- Create and deliver clear presentations and outputs, must also be comfortable and confident in presenting
- Manage the marketplaces team including strategy and growth of marketplaces platforms
- Management of the annual marketing budget
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED
The successful candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience delivering direct marketing campaigns and/or promotions
- Strong Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint
- Exceptional communication skills
- Strategic & creative thinker, but ability to be hands on and get things done
- Team player able to connect colleagues across the functions behind projects
- Strong team management and leadership skills
- Strong commercial acumen
- The ability to work in a small high performing team with huge drive and ambition
- Ability to interpret data and provide actionable insight.
