Essential Skills: Solidworks, CAD.
This is a busy and varied role in a small team environment incorporating aspects of Mechanical Engineering and design, estimation, customer service, site visits, ordering of materials and workshop scheduling.
We require a person who is familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures in steel fabrication, hydraulics and mechanical design, experience in materials handling systems is desirable.
Required to work with vendors and customers ensuring smooth transition through mechanical projects.
Successful candidate must work well within a small team and be prepared to carry out varied tasks and become involved on all levels to see projects through to completion. Liaison with workshop staff is essential and expected throughout the manufacturing process.
This is a fast paced, busy role and you need to be prepared to manage your workload to meet deadlines and provide information in a timely manner.
A Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering is desirable for this position although candidates with a Diploma of Mechanical Engineering will be considered.
Extensive experience in CAD systems is essential and Solidworks knowledge or experience is highly desirable.
Starting salary will be dependent on the successful candidates qualifications and experience.
Must have current WA driver's licence and forklift licence is also desirable.
