Employment Opportunity:
We are seeking experienced and driven Mechanical Marine Fittersto join our team for an immediate start - both casual and full time opportunities available. This role will be based in our Henderson Workshops, although may include metro site works.
Duties for this role include:
- Laser alignment and mounting of machinery.
- Completing a variety of works by planning and establishing priorities and monitoring progress.
- Interpreting technical drawings and performing engineering measurements.
- Modifying, repairing and conducting maintenance on existing plant.
- Putting in place isolations when replacing valves or other parts;
- Ensure works are conducted in accordance with client requirements, specifications and procedures set by the company;
- Operate equipment used in machine shop in accordance with operating procedures.
- Conduct tasks effectively and safely in accordance with company QHSE policies and procedures.
- Provide overall guidance, mentorship and support to apprentices within the workshop team.
You must be willing to undertake a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening prior to commencement.
Minimum requirements include:
- A Trade Certificate or equivalent qualification.
- 2 Years+ experience in a similar role or capacity.
- Marine experience desired, but not essential.
- Experience using Chock Fast Orange desired, but not essential.
