We are a not-for-profit Centre of Excellence in Dermatology that delivers highly specialised clinical treatment, education and research for skin diseases, skin cancers and melanoma located in Carlton Melbourne.
We run 24 sub-specialty clinics, a day surgery hospital, undertake clinical trials and research, and provide world-class education to local, national and international audiences which includes dermatology registrar training.
About the Role
We have an exciting part-time (Mon, Wed, Fri) opportunity for an enthusiastic, experienced Medical Admin assistantto join our small team at the Occupational Dermatology Research and Education Centre (ODREC).
ODREC is an internationally recognised centre in the assessment, management, training and research of occupational contact dermatitis. ODREC runs a busy on-site Patch Testing clinic and national mail order service.
Key Duties
- Arrange patient appointments including telehealth, answering phone and face-to-face queries
- General admin duties, scanning, ordering allergens/supplies arrange letters
- Assist in patient billings/receipting, advise patients of credit/billing policies, follow up paid/unpaid claims.
- Liaise with medicare/workcover for rebates and payments
- Arrange documents for Ozescribe, patient medical/legal reports
- monitor and triage email
- Assist with Contact Allergen Bank and education events
About you
- Relevant administrative experience in a specialist clinic/surgical setting
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with ability to build a positive working relationships with patients and staff
- High-level computer literacy - experience using Zedmed or similar package
- Demonstrates flexibility, strong attention to detail, time management skills,
- Demonstrated capacity to work positively in a team and independently.
