Essendon North Specialist Centre is looking for an experienced and exceptional Receptionist /Administration Assistant to organize our medical facility’s functions. You will join on a part time basis (2- 3 days a week - Wednesday to Friday, you will be working for a group of multi specialist within a practice.

We provide comprehensive care for adults and children. Our specialists include an Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeon, Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Specialist, Obstetrics and Gynaecology & Geriatric.
About the role:
We seek those with proven receptionist skills, a can-do attitude who would like the opportunity to join this growing business, who can work with less supervision& Previous experience in medical reception / administration is essential for this role.
A working knowledge of medical software would be preferred however training will be provided.
Qualifications & experience:
- A minimum of 2 years in a reception / administration role, preferably in medical/allied health setting
- Exceptional customer service skills & approachable
- Ability to multitask, prioritise patient care/service and perform well under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Thriving in a team environment, collaborating with your colleagues.
- Be reliable & Positive attitude.
- Strong computer skills – Proficient with MS Office – word, excel, and other software.
- A working knowledge of medical software would be preferred however training will be provided.
Tasks & responsibilities:
- Providing an outstanding level of customer service on the telephone and in meeting and greeting patients and their families
- Answering phone calls and inquiries in a professional, punctual and friendly manner
- Scheduling appointments & managing appointment diaries
- Efficiently managing all patient data, work sheets, appointments, clinical files and correspondence (attention to detail is imperative)
- Responding to a broad range of patient or referral enquiries via phone & email.
- Invoicing and receipting for patients, Medicare, DVA & TAC as required
- Ability to take direction and ask questions when required
- Provide quality care and service to patients
- Ensuring confidentiality and management of patients' needs
- Prioritizing workload - able to work under pressure
- Maintain reception, consulting rooms and waiting area tidy.
- General administrative duties – scanning, faxing, emailing
- Other administrative duties as required.
