Receptionist / Administration Assistant
4 or 5 days a week (32-38 hours per week)
Geelong Hand Therapy is a private hand therapy clinic that operates from a central clinic and has 3 off-site locations. We are a team of occupational therapists who specialise in the area of hand therapy and manage all conditions and injuries relating to the upper limb, including finger, thumb, wrist and elbow injuries. We have an exciting opportunity for a receptionist, preferably with a minimum of 12 months experience in healthcare, to join our administration team in managing front desk operations for our busy clinic. This position is based at our main clinic in central Geelong.
We are seeking a friendly and approachable receptionist with exceptional communication and customer service skills, who is calm under pressure, can multitask with efficiency and has outstanding attention to detail. Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks are essential. We value our team members and our patients enjoy their interactions with the front of house staff, so the ideal candidate will be warm and welcoming while still maintaining a professional manner.

Duties for the role include:
- Being the face of the clinic and the first point of contact for patients
- Managing a large volume of telephone calls and emails, and responding in a timely manner
- HiCaps / Workcover / TAC / DVA billing
- Scheduling patient appointments
- Data entry, updating and creating patient files
- Communicating with clinical staff as well as external third parties such as surgeons, GP clinics, hospitals, suppliers etc
- Invoicing, receipting, faxing, scanning, emails.
- All general office duties including managing a very fast paced work environment
Highly desirable, but not essential, experience:
- Knowledge of Workcover, TAC and DVA billing requirements
- Minimum of 12 months experience in a healthcare setting
- Experience using the practice management software PracSuite
