At AusHealth, we have Full Time Permanent & Casual roles available in our Head Office in Underdale, as a Medical Billing Officer, where you will be:
- Responsible for accurately and timely invoicing Private Health Funds, Third Party & uninsured fees for inpatient, outpatient and medical services provided by our client Hospitals
- Working with a variety of software's and systems, including Microsoft Excel and Collect
- Identify opportunities for billing process improvements whilst maintaining accuracy in billing operations.
What will my day to day look like?
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Process Medical Billing accounts on behalf of our clients which include Inpatient, Outpatient and other billing as required.
• Liaise with various stakeholders including patients, Medicare, health funds etc.
• Assist in responding to a patient enquiry via email and phone.
• Always maintain patient and client confidentiality
What do I need?
To be successful in this role, you will have:
• Experience and knowledge of Medical Billing (including health funds claims) and invoicing desired.
• Excellent computer literacy skills with proficiency in the MS Office suite (Essential)
• Excellent time management, interpersonal and organisational skills
• Excellent problem solving and objection handling skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with a muti-disciplinary team.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
You may also possess one/some/all the desirable skills we look for, including:
• Previous experience in hospital billing and debt collection.
• Prior experience in a similar healthcare role (desirable, but not essential)
• An understanding of private health insurance cover and associated processes
