The Role:
A new opportunity has presented for a dynamic Medical Lead position to play a pivotal role in developing the Medical Community Virtual Consult (MCVC) service provided by Northern Health.
This role requires the appointee to support the Executive Director of the Virtual Services in leading the functions of MCVC to maximise achievements and ongoing expansion in virtual care.
The MCVC Medical Lead will collaborate with the MCVC Program Lead and Administration Coordinator to provide high quality clinical care as well as leadership, supervision, and point of contact for MCVC doctors.
The position entails a dual focus, comprising 0.3 EFT virtual clinical responsibilities and 0.1 EFT dedicated to leadership (28 hours per fortnight)
To be successful in this role you will have:

• Medical registration with the Medical Board of Australia under the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
• Undergraduate medical qualification as a first degree is essential - MBBS, MD, PhD or equivalent
• Additional qualifications in Business or Medical Administration (favourable)
• Appropriate specialty qualifications such as Fellowship of the Australasian College of Physicians or
• equivalent is essential.
• Eligible for registration for Medicare provider number
• Current National Police, and Working with Children History Check
