Walk-in emergency care to patients with non-life-threatening medical emergencies. 

Location: Indooroopilly, Brisbane

Employment Type: Full time Permanent / Part time / Casual 

Position Classification: Medical Receptionist 

Hours per week: 38 Hours 

Pay Rate  as per Award 

Practice hours - 10 am to 9 pm, 7 days a week

Responsibilities

• Front desk administration (answering phones, making appointments, processing claims and payments)
• Liaise with patients and their families, GPs, other health professionals and their staff in a compassionate manner
• Scanning and updating all patient-related correspondence and results
• All general reception, administrative and medical support duties as required
• Provide ongoing support to doctors and nurses in the centre
• Be a friendly point of contact between patients and the internal clinical team
• Ability to work independently and as a team

Essential Requirements

• Recent experience as a Medical Receptionist in a Medical Centre environment
• IT Knowledge & skills
• Ability to multi-task and prioritise duties
• Exceptional time management skills
• Empathy skills
• Establish and maintain a great rapport with patients and colleagues
• Willing to work Friday, Saturday and Sunday with extra hours/ days added into the new year. (Weekend penalty rates included.)
