Our clinics in Hervey Bay are currently seeking a Medical Receptionist to join the team, Part time and Full-time positions available, working across our clinics in Maryborough, St Stephens Hospital and Fraser Coast Radiology, you will be available to work on a rotating roster between the hours of 7am-8pm Monday to Friday with optional weekend work available.

Role Overview:
As a Medical Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth clinic operations. Your responsibilities will include:
Patient Interaction:
🤝🏻Greet patients professionally and courteously.
🖥️Assist patients with appointment scheduling.
📋Explain intake forms to new patients.
Administrative Tasks:
- Manage medical records confidentially and efficiently.
- Process patient payments (cash, Eftpos, direct billing).
- Invoice Medicare, Private Health Funds, DVA and Workcover.
- Handle internal emails and inquiries.
- Maintain a tidy reception waiting area.
Collaboration:
- Work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Communicate with referring doctors and hospital staff courteously.
Confidentiality:
- Maintain patient personal and financial information confidentiality.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Excellent telephone manner for handling internal inquiries and appointments.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with patients and colleagues
- Intermediate computer skills
