Medical Receptionist Casual

• Customer service experience - Medical/Healthcare preferred but training provided for busy long established practice in Newport, 

This patient facing role requires a high level of customer service, reception and administrative duties.  

Day to day duties and responsibilities will include:

• A high level of friendly and compassionate customer service to patients
• Taking of payments
• Mail/scanning/filing
• Settling of banking at the end of the day
• Managing of appointment bookings and referrals/script requests/new patient registration
• dealing with patient enquiries

Ideally you will:

• Have prior experience in Medical reception role (preferred)
• Be flexible with work hours - you will need to cover for sick leave/holidays etc and sometimes at short notice.
• Be friendly, calm and maintain confidentiality at all times
• Have knowledge of Best Practice Software, although training can be given.
• Outstanding communication skills
• Be able to work in a busy environment, multitask and have the ability to prioritise whilst remaining unflustered.
• Show a high level of attention to detail, be proactive and able to multitask in busy times.
• Must be available to ‘close the practice’ one afternoon a week.
