Medical Receptionist Casual
- Customer service experience - Medical/Healthcare preferred but training provided for busy long established practice in Newport,
This patient facing role requires a high level of customer service, reception and administrative duties.
Day to day duties and responsibilities will include:
- A high level of friendly and compassionate customer service to patients
- Taking of payments
- Mail/scanning/filing
- Settling of banking at the end of the day
- Managing of appointment bookings and referrals/script requests/new patient registration
- dealing with patient enquiries
Ideally you will:
- Have prior experience in Medical reception role (preferred)
- Be flexible with work hours - you will need to cover for sick leave/holidays etc and sometimes at short notice.
- Be friendly, calm and maintain confidentiality at all times
- Have knowledge of Best Practice Software, although training can be given.
- Outstanding communication skills
- Be able to work in a busy environment, multitask and have the ability to prioritise whilst remaining unflustered.
- Show a high level of attention to detail, be proactive and able to multitask in busy times.
- Must be available to ‘close the practice’ one afternoon a week.
