We are looking for a Part Time Medical Receptionist (Team Leader) to join our friendly team at Picton Family Medical Centre for a maternity leave position.
Maternity Leave will commence September 2024 however the role would be a staggered start with transition up and into the TL role & full roster hours.
This role will see you working within the receptionist team at the practice front desk as well as Team Leader duties within the Admin team.
We are a well-established, mixed billing, modern practice, largely appointment based, with a beautiful ambient decor and collegial work environment.
Team Leader Responsibilities
- Role modelling and upholding the practice culture
- Rostering using Deputy App
- Accounts administration , chasing debtors
- Stock ordering
- Best Practice software - set up and updating of doctor sessions, update fees etc
- Leading team meetings, creating minutes and following up actions
- Training and development of admin team members
- Creating and reviewing admin policies where required
- Maintaining general standards and presentation within practice
The Successful Candidate MUST have:
· Exceptional customer service skills
· Excellent communication skills including a professional & personable telephone manner
· Ability to work as part of a team and also independently
· Attention to detail and someone who takes pride in their work
· Ability to multitask and prioritise & complete tasks as delegated
· Neat and professional presentation
- Current CPR certificate or willingess to obtain within 3 months of start date
Relevant Experience - advantageous but not essential
· Previous experience working in a medical practice
- Previous experience in a receptionist/administration role
· IT skills including knowledge of Best Practice or other medical software
Other Key Responsibilities
· Answering telephone calls & enquiries.
· Scheduling appointments
· Greeting patients and welcoming them into our Practice
- processing patient fees and medicare claims
· Collecting & entering patient details into the database.
· Administration support to our doctors and Allied Health professionals.
Practice Opening Hours:
8am – 6pm Monday to Friday & Saturdays (9am-2pm)
The successful candidate will be required to be available for shifts across 4 days of the week plus a Saturday roster (1:4 Saturdays required)
Ability to cover additional leave is required.
Practice is closed daily for a Dedicated daily lunch hour and closed Sundays & Public Holidays
