Riverina Day Surgery offers a broad range of surgical services for our community. We have 3 Operating Theatres and an IVF lab, providing a wide range of specialties including General Surgery, Endoscopy, Urology, Ophthalmology, ENT, Paediatrics, Orthopaedic, Oral-Maxillofacial, IVF and Gynaecology. 

Riverina Day Surgery is a busy facility that focuses on the provision of high-quality patient care in a safe and caring setting.

An opportunity exists for a Medical Receptionist to join our busy team on a full-time basis.

The role:

• Reception duties
• Greet patients and carers in a friendly manner and courteously responding to patient queries
• Filing, photocopying and other office duties 
• Liaising with the specialist rooms
• Filing, photocopying and other office duties 
• Assist with maintenance of Medical Records
• Eligibility checks on health funds and patient quotes
• Processing payments via EFTPOS and handling billing information as well as end of day banking reconciliation
• Accurate and timely preparation of the theatre list and patient medical charts

To be successful in your application for this position, you will have:

• High standard of verbal and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills
• Impeccable personal presentation and attention to detail
• Outstanding time management and organisational skills including ability to take initiative, application of problem solving, and capability in decision making
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work in a team environment as well as work with minimal supervision
• Comprehensive computer literacy 
• Available to work early and late shifts 

Desirable:

• Experience within the health industry is highly desirable with the understanding of the perioperative environment, theatre lists and sessions.
• Immediate start available but can be flexible for the right candidate
