About Riverina Day Surgery
Riverina Day Surgery offers a broad range of surgical services for our community. We have 3 Operating Theatres and an IVF lab, providing a wide range of specialties including General Surgery, Endoscopy, Urology, Ophthalmology, ENT, Paediatrics, Orthopaedic, Oral-Maxillofacial, IVF and Gynaecology.
Riverina Day Surgery is a busy facility that focuses on the provision of high-quality patient care in a safe and caring setting.
An opportunity exists for a Medical Receptionist to join our busy team on a full-time basis.
The role:
- Reception duties
- Greet patients and carers in a friendly manner and courteously responding to patient queries
- Filing, photocopying and other office duties
- Liaising with the specialist rooms
- Filing, photocopying and other office duties
- Assist with maintenance of Medical Records
- Eligibility checks on health funds and patient quotes
- Processing payments via EFTPOS and handling billing information as well as end of day banking reconciliation
- Accurate and timely preparation of the theatre list and patient medical charts
To be successful in your application for this position, you will have:
- High standard of verbal and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills
- Impeccable personal presentation and attention to detail
- Outstanding time management and organisational skills including ability to take initiative, application of problem solving, and capability in decision making
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as work with minimal supervision
- Comprehensive computer literacy
- Available to work early and late shifts
Desirable:
- Experience within the health industry is highly desirable with the understanding of the perioperative environment, theatre lists and sessions.
- Immediate start available but can be flexible for the right candidate
