Part Time/Casual Medical Receptionists
A unique opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic and committed Medical Receptionist to join our team at our busy practice located in Mount Colah. The applicant needs to be flexible with hours/days, with varying shifts during the week and the occasional weekend.
Reporting to the Practice Manager, your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to
- Meeting and greeting patients, booking appointments, answering a high volume of calls and emails
- Patient billing and receipting
- Ensuring medical records are managed confidentially and efficiently
- Ensuring the upkeep and tidiness of the waiting room, reception area and common areas
- End of day reconciliation and banking
- General administration
The following desirable qualities are preferred:
- Experience in a similar role as a Medical Receptionist, with particular experience in billing and electronic patient management systems (Best Practice)
- Passion for customer service, high attention to detail, outstanding verbal communication skills, strong organisation and time management skills
- Motivated, energetic and proactive individual with a passion for providing exceptional patient service will be an ideal fit for this position
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills enabling effective communication at all levels of the business
- Discretion, confidentiality and attention to detail
- Able to adapt to and enjoy being part of a team in a busy environment
- Experience working in a fast paced environment whilst multi-tasking is essential
- Computer literacy including Microsoft Office Suite and Best Practice Medical software

You will be highly organised with an eye for detail and able to tackle any task with strong follow through. You will be self-motivated and able to work within a team as well as autonomously. Additionally you will be an effective communicator committed to excellent customer service and demonstrate empathy and compassion.

Education and experience
- Tertiary qualifications and/or experience would be an asset
- Familiarity with phone systems
- Previous experience with Microsoft Office software preferred
