ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANT / RECEPTIONIST - FULL TIME

About Pennant Hills Day Surgery:
Pennant Hills Day Surgery is a purpose-built, three theatre day surgery offering world-class healthcare services in a boutique environment for the northern suburbs of Sydney. Our facility specializes in Gastroscopy/Colonoscopy, Pain Management, Mohs and Oral & Maxillofacial surgery.
About the Role:
This role will see you working collaboratively with both the administrative and clinical teams, as well as liaising with our visiting doctors’ consulting rooms.
- Front desk reception – greeting patients and visitors
- Admitting patients and taking payments
- Answering phone calls and patient enquiries
- Preparing patient admission paperwork
- Pre-admission phone calls to patients
- Entering theatre list bookings
- Liaising with Surgeon rooms regarding theatre lists
- Patient eligibility checks with private health insurance or preparing self-insured estimations for patients
- Data entry and filing
- Other duties as directed by the Office Manager and Director or Nursing
About You:
- At least one (1) year of experience in Medical Administration
- Excellent interpersonal skills and professional telephone manner
- Good computer knowledge, accurate keyboard skills, and understanding of Microsoft Outlook
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritise urgent tasks
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Awareness of confidentiality, sensitivity and discretion
- A positive attitude and ability to work as a productive team member
- Available for early starts - Shifts vary between 6am and 6pm
