Form of workGrafton Nuclear Medicine & Endocrinology is a private imaging and specialist clinic, offering nuclear medicine, DXA bone densitometry, and endocrine consultation services. We have a vacancy for an enthusiastic and motivated Medical Receptionist to join our team.
The position is varied, interesting, and challenging, and you will be involved with cases ranging from consultations to diagnostic scans and therapeutic procedures. You will be working independently but with support from friendly and experienced staff. Remuneration is dependent on the candidate's level of experience. The position is suitable for an experienced and committed individual for part-time work on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Job responsibilities will include
- greeting and assisting patients
- attending to telephone calls
- making appointments
- contacting patients
- billing and managing patient accounts
- maintaining clinical records
- dealing with couriers and deliveries
- general administration
- medical typing
Experience, skill set and qualifications required include:
- a professional, patient and courteous manner
- excellent patient service skills
- strong telephone and computer skills
- ability to work under pressure, multi-task and prioritise workflow
- an eye for detail
- ability to work independently as a sole receptionist and as part of a medical team
- previous experience as a receptionist, or allied health professional or tertiary education in a science-based course, is highly desired
