Medical Receptionist - Surgical Practice (Ent)

Litton Andrews - providing a Total Medical/Healthcare Recruitment and Consultancy Service with the best staffing, practice and business solutions.A rare opportunity for an experienced and passionate Medical Receptionist has presented to join our client a well-respected 2 Surgeon ENT Private Specialist Practice in Spring Hill.We are looking for candidates who can commit to a permanent full-time position working 38 hours a week (Monday to Friday) 7:30am to 5/5:30pm with some flexibility around the hours. Candidates seeking part time - 4 days a week (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday) are also encouraged to apply.This is an exciting and challenging position that would ideally suit an experienced Medical Receptionist seeking a long-term position within an established Surgical Practice.Key duties and responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

• Answering all incoming telephone calls and assisting patients with general enquiries
• Preparing and running patient clinics for 2 ENT Surgeons and assisting a Practice Nurse with patient pre-operative and post-operative appointments
• Processing patient billing and receipting for consultations
• Assisting with the preparation of theatre quotes and patient theatre packs
• Booking theatre procedures and liaising closely with the relevant hospitals, referring specialists and GP's
• Processing of all medical correspondence and administration relating to patients
• Following up on patient radiology, imaging and pathology
• Providing general day to day administration support to a very busy team as required

To be closely considered for this position you will have the following skills/attributes:

• Experience in Genie software will be an advantage but not essential
• Prior experience working within a surgical specialist practice - highly desirable
• High level of organisational skills and time management skills
• Excellent phone manner and interpersonal skills dealing with patients, doctors and hospital staff
• Fast and accurate data entry skills
• Respectful and understanding of patient confidentiality
• High level of computer/IT skills - in particular exposure using Genie software (or alike programs)
