This role is more than just clerical work—it is customer service-driven, with a strong emphasis on facilitating a positive and welcoming patient experience. About the role
We are looking for someone who shares our vision and philosophy of providing excellent care. The Patient Advocate’s core purpose is to perform medical administrative and customer service tasks proficiently to ensure the successful running of the clinic.
Our ideal candidate is someone who is warm, friendly, empathetic, and detail-oriented. Experience in medical reception is highly desirable. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, phone etiquette, computer literacy, and confidence in using the Microsoft suite of products are essential.
Tasks include:
- Welcoming and receiving patients on arrival.
- Answering phone calls and queries.
- Scheduling patient bookings and appointments.
- Processing patient payments.
- Managing incoming and outgoing email and fax correspondences.
- Actively supporting practitioners administratively and clinically (when appropriate).
- Participating in team huddles and meetings.
- Maintaining a clean and tidy work area, including performing general housekeeping tasks when necessary.
- Being knowledgeable of new healthcare and government regulations, programs and incentives.
- Following practice policies and procedures.
