Dr Di Mascio is a specialist vascular and endovascular surgeon, specialising in all aspects of open, minimally invasive and endovascular surgery of the arteries and veins. He works in both the public and private sectors, and offers high level, individualised care for his patients.

About the role
This role is specifically suited to a motivated, self-directed, enthusiastic, responsible individual that is able to offer a positive experience for other team members, and patients.
The role is full time with the unlikely requirement to travel to another nearby clinic on occasion. The rooms are brand new and sparkling.
Specifically, the role will involve the organisation of patient appointments and diaries, the billing and invoicing of patients, warm and pleasant communication with other health care personnel, and the monitoring and ordering of stock and consumables.
We are looking for an immediate start for the right applicant, and have some flexibility with a start date to accomodate your requirements.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Welcoming patients into the practice;
- Answering incoming calls and patient enquiries;
- Ensuring the smooth running of the practice, supporting all clinical staff and other admin staff;
- Arranging requested investigations and appointments;
- Confirmation of all appointments with appropriate preparation of patients;
- All billing of patient appointments, additional services, worker's compensation quotes and accounts, private quotes;
- Accurate data entry into Genie software and audit modules;
- Providing assistance to the Practice Manager as required;
- Maintaining a clean and organised office space.
The office environment is suited to an aware candidate with highly developed interpersonal skills and pleasant communication style.
Skills and experience
- The applicant must have previous experience in a medical secretarial position, preferably in a specialist practice;
- Knowledge of Genie medical software, in addition to Microsoft Office;
- Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work autonomously;
- Display a high level of attention to detail;
- Ability to work in a team environment;
- Demonstrate the prioritisation of multiple tasks;
