Respiratory Specialist Medical Practice seeks experienced Medical Secretary/Receptionist for 12 month contract parental leave position from 1 July 2024.
Successful candidate will join a professional team passionate about providing excellent patient care.
Will be trustworthy, compassionate, committed and efficient. Will communicate well and be able to prioritise competing demands, moving easily from one task to the next.
Must be able to multi task between greeting patients, processing payments, invoicing, making appointments, phone calls, liaising with health services and professionals, medical transcription, all whilst delivering confidential, exceptional service to our patients.
Job tasks and responsibilities
- Answer phones, greet patients.
- Process patient billing. Submit & receipt Medicare/DVA/ECLIPSE claims.
- Book patient appointments, confirm appointments.
- Ensure letters are sent & received electronically.
- Receive and file faxes and other correspondence. Scan documents to maintain electronic patient file.
- Liaise with other practices as required.
- Basic housekeeping.
- 3-4 days per week
Skills and experience
- Experience using Genie software highly regarded
- Ability to multi task
- Exceptional communication skills
- Fast and accurate typing skills
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Outstanding customer service skills
Hourly wage is commensurate with experience.
