Role of Medical Secretary/receptionist

Patient centred focus of practice

Must be positive, kind and empathetic

Wage negotiable depending on experience

Duties and Responsibilities

Meeting and greeting of patients

Receiving phone calls in an efficient and timely manner

Booking appointments and procedures (Gentu)

Management of all patient data, correspondence and scanning of documents

Invoicing and receipting of consultations

Liaising with the Practice Manager to ensure the smooth running of the Practice

Liaising with hospital staff and booking procedures

General tidying/housekeeping

General support of the professional needs of the practitioner

Must be able to work pro-actively, independently and autonomously

Skills and Experience

Previous experience as a Medical Secretary/Receptionist

Thorough understanding of relevant legislative requirements in relation to a specialist medical practice

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Must be experienced in specialist medical management with medical software, and billing,
