Mission Development ManagerPermanent, full-time opportunityThe Mission and Ministry Team are passionate about supporting our churches, services and staff to live out our mission of bringing the light of Christ into communities.
About the roleAs our
Mission Development Manager, you will be responsible for the leadership and operational management of the Mission and Ministry Team, engaging with our churches, and living out our mission. Reporting to the Executive Director of Mission, you will have the opportunity to lead over ten mission and ministry minded professionals who are serving our sixty plus affiliated churches as well as our seniors living, fostering and housing services. To enable the outworking of our mission in communities across Queensland, you will bring together a diverse team to serve and deliver outcomes that lead to the growth of disciples, leaders, and churches, and the integration of our mission throughout churches and services.As a focus point, you will provide leadership and direction to the Mission and Ministry team as they engage and consult with local churches, develop missional partnerships with our services and provide leadership advice, guidance and training to churches and leaders with respect to ministry and missional development, affiliation and multiplication.
About youYou are active in your Christian faith and have spent over five years participating in a leadership or ministry role in a Christian Church or organisation. You have the ability to model a missional lifestyle and have experience communicating Christian beliefs and convictions within the Australian context.Your qualifications and experience for this role should also include:
- Degree qualification in Theology or relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
- Able to be endorsed as a Ministering Person of Churches of Christ in Queensland and demonstrated commitment to Jesus Christ and the authority of the Christian Bible.
- Current drivers' licence.
