About the role
Working as part of a vibrant interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for the provision of music therapy services which may be within the inpatient unit, community palliative care service, day centre, outpatient clinic, and/or outreach programs. You will work alongside a team of Music Therapists to assess music therapy needs, provide music therapy intervention including live music, music-assisted relaxation, song writing, life review and legacy work, and work in collaboration with patients, families, other health professionals and services to help people live well with illness, ageing, dying and grief.
What you bring
- Experience in palliative care, progressive neurology and/or aged care
- Strong music skills across a broad range of genres
- Knowledge and experience in audio recording and online music therapy
- A commitment to collaboration, teamwork and consumer participation
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Clinical leadership skills including clinical supervision, service development and innovation, and/or research
- Tertiary qualification in music therapy
- Registration with the Australian Music Therapy Association (AMTA) and current OneMusic license
- A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
- A passion for end of life and aged care

About Calvary Health Care Bethlehem – Calvary Kooyong, Caulfield Victoria
Calvary Health Care Bethlehem (CHCB) is a 32 bed health care facility providing a range of inpatient, community and ambulatory services for palliative care and progressive neurological conditions.
CHCB is also an NDIS service provider.
Vaccination against COVID-19 and seasonal Influenza is a mandatory requirement for healthcare workers in Victoria, and as such, all employees at Calvary Health Care must provide evidence of mandatory vaccinations upon application.
All employees must be willing and able to wear Personal Protective Equipment when required, which at a minimum is a surgical mask. Additional PPE requirements are role-dependant.
